Transit

I knew I was coming back today for quite some time, but I wasn’t told we were going to travel back through Bahrain, a transit.

I don’t really like complications. I’d prefer one plane straight to Cairo and that’s that. Boarding in one plane for 30ish minutes, waiting for 3 hours in a lobby (2 down, 1 to go; as of 10:30 a.m.), then boarding in another plane for around two more hours isn’t just convenient for me. I don’t really complain though when it comes to mum saving some cash - especially on travelling expenses; we do travel a lot.

Anyway, luckily to me Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has a (fast) wireless connection that I could use to do some stuff I couldn’t do for the past two weeks - like downloading 6 new albums, downloading some games for GUCers Arcade (and uploading them if I got the time). The connection isn’t just fast.. it’s extremely fast - I’m downloading at around 100 kbps (± 20 kbps).

I had a go at downloading some chunks of the movies I’m downloading (12 in queue), but for some reason it won’t download any (using ktorrent). For some odd reason kmess won’t log me on as well, so I thought it might be something with kde apps especially after I was using a dial up connection.. so my wildest guess was a conflict with something. I tried restarting but that didn’t work, so I went on and looked it up. I eventually lost interest; I’m not really sitting comfortably so both my back and legs are hurting too much.

I’m listening to Samira Said’s new album Ayam Hayati; so far so good.
