Physics and PROT results are out, not entirely happy with either of them.

I was in a car accident a couple of days ago, duda is no longer functional. I’m going to have to fix the damages all on my own, my parents decided. During the time I spent waiting for rescue on the ring road, only one person decided to stop by to see if I was okay and offer me help – strangely a young lady.

I’m in Kuwait, coming back probably before 5th of August for my English Summer course.

I managed to install my modem’s drivers on ubuntu, now I can log online using a dial up connection via ubuntu just as easily as I would have done using Windows. I also installed Yakuake and Screenlets (inspired by psycho, on this day).

We bought a new printer (HP F4185). Packed with features, and cheap. Oddly ubuntu recognized both the printer and the scanner without me doing any work (well, technically xsane recognized the scanner, all I did was find out that it was the one responsible for that job – it was pre-installed).

I started working on the new version of the intranet. I have an extremely neat feature on mind I want to add this time, hopefully everyone is going to like it – speaking of which, the activity during summer is appalling, I wasn’t expecting it to be this low.

Wordpress 2.6 is out, in case you don’t know. I’m not going to upgrade for the time being, I don’t feel comfortable working with FTP using a dial-up connection.

Oh and one more thing: I managed to port all my Windows fonts over to ubuntu in just a few steps. Created a folder called .fonts inside ~/ (/home/kamasheto/) and place all my fonts in there. Then run:

$ fc-cache
