Two days ago I was determined to buy a new laptop this summer, mine was simply intolerable. It was becoming terribly slow and I couldn’t work 2 hours uninterrupted by constant lagging and.. extreme heat coming from it! Plus of course the fact most my keyboard keys were starting to not work anymore. So I worked something with my parents to buy me a new laptop this summer.. until yesterday I was shopping for a mouse and came across a repair centre in IT mall (Nasr City). I went in just out of curiosity, and told the guy about my problems.

I thought it wanted more RAMs initially but when I told him about the problem(s) he told me I’m out of coolant and I need to replace them - in addition to cleaning my keyboard to fix their issues. I went along with it, and watched as he removed every piece of my laptop away.. well not literally, but still, he took apart most of it and he removed that final piece to show me how much of my coolant is left and to their ultimate shock they found none left - it all dried out. Turns out that’s why my laptop heated up pretty quickly, the processor wasn’t getting any sort of cooling except from the fan which wasn’t sufficient to keep up with all the work.

Anyway he added the coolant and we started it up - strangely enough I didn’t hear the fan running; which was the case for the past 2-3 months! The keyboard keys are all working now (except for the k which seems to have a mind of its own) and my laptop is working like a champ!

I however still think 100 LE for the whole thing is quite much.. but oh well, it did save a lot on the long run. Now I don’t have to worry about getting a new laptop any time soon.
